Presented by the Austin Live Music Fund, Austin artist May Sun teams up with Lechehouse Studio to create a sound that could only come from Austin, Texas.

Produced by Beto Martinez, co-founder and guitarist of Grammy Award-winning Grupo Fantasma, the project brings together May’s R&B vocals, shaped by Austin’s rich blues tradition, with the rhythmic, psychedelic, and Latin-inspired textures that have defined the sound of beloved Austin bands like Money Chicha and Brownout.

As a first-generation American who has lived in Hong Kong, Seoul, and Honolulu, May brings a cross-cultural perspective to her music. A lifelong musician, her journey began from playing classical piano to performing more than 300 shows as a blues vocalist in Austin’s legendary live music scene. From Sixth Street to iconic blues venues like Antone’s, May has spent years immersed in the sounds, energy, and traditions that make Austin the “Live Music Capital of the World.”

The first single, “So Sweet,” will be released in Fall/Winter 2026.
